Rafael Gallegos, PsyD
Dr. Gallegos attended undergraduate school at George Mason University, receiving a B.S. in experimental psychology. He received his M.A. in counseling from Marymount University and a Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) from the American School of Professional Psychology, Washington D.C. Dr. Gallegos is the owner of Applied Behavioral Sciences, LLC and provides consultation to state agencies including the Office of Court Evaluations, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Department of Developmental Services and Department of Children and Families, as well as private non-profit mental health agencies. He is also on staff at Hartford Hospital. Dr. Gallegos specializes in forensic/court evaluations and behavior management services, specifically, trauma informed positive behavioral supports.
Lukasz Krol, PsyD
Dr. Lukasz Krol completed his graduate studies at the University of Hartford where he received a M.A. in clinical practices in psychology and a Psy.D. (Doctor of Psychology) in clinical psychology. Dr. Krol completed predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships at Yale University, School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. At ABS Dr. Krol provides individual and group psychotherapy, conducts comprehensive psychological evaluations (including forensic risk evaluations and competency to stand trial evaluations), and formulates positive behavioral support plans. Additionally, Dr. Krol has an extensive experience and expertise providing clinical services to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, as well as providing psychological consultation to families, state agencies (i.e., Department of Developmental Services, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, Connecticut Judicial Branch), hospitals, and various community organizations working with people diagnosed with severe mental illness, developmental and intellectual disabilities, and those individuals involved with the legal system. Dr. Krol is bilingual and offers services in English and Polish language.
Michele Vezina, LADC, LPC
Michele Vezina, LPC, LADC, practices psychotherapy with expertise in addictions and trauma care. She is skilled with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of Post-traumatic stress disorder. Michele has worked extensively with healthcare professionals in addiction recovery, facilitating individual and group therapy for these individuals for the past 30 years.
Judy Brusby, APRN BC CNS
Educated in both the UK and US, Judy Brusby, APRN BC CNS, is an experienced psychiatric advanced nurse practitioner, with a diverse background. Over the years, Judy has enjoyed faculty positions in clinical teaching at several Universities including Yale and Saint Joseph’s. Judy offers individual and group psychotherapy, as well as medication management. Her philosophy of care is an integrative one, incorporating the pillars of lifestyle medicine with psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy. She is trained in a wide range of modalities including DBT, somatic-experiencing, mindfulness-based stress reduction and restorative yoga.
